I drove from Indiana to California in January. It was a 5,000 mile pleasure cruise. I reached out to friends along the way as the trip wasn't fully mapped out. My buddy Bill said he had some openings at his property. Over the years I had mentioned to Bill my interest in filming a tour of his home; the famous Mountain Mermaid of Topanga Canyon. Funny enough Bill woke up the next morning ready to GO. For the next couple of hours he walked me through every inch of the five acre property. My hope was to document his historic home.. but even more so show the man behind the Mermaid. An industrious, obsessive man who carries with him a big-ol-heart-of-gold.
