Post independence from the British colonial master, many countries have deleted the 377 Penal Code but 5 countries are still putting it on place to use as a political tool.
The very obvious one is the Mahathir using the 377 Penal Code to get his deputy then Anwar Ibarahim into jail.

Sodomy, even if consensual, is punishable by up to 20 years' imprisonment and whipping under Section 377B of the Malaysian Penal Code. Anwar responded that the complaint was politically motivated and intended to discredit him, and called it a "complete fabrication" and asserted that he had an alibi.
Perhaps, Anwar wants to take revenge to put Mahathir in jail for sodomy. He can arrange a meeting with a woman for serving the old and lick the old banana.

Why these five countries are still maintaining the 377 Penal Code? Among them three are Muslim countries, as Wikipedia did not list Brunei Darulsalam. This tiny country of course is a Muslim country and still pracising this detrimental law. The Myanmar which is in political turmoil do not have time to repeal the act. Sri Landa is not too good off in the politics too.
When Myanmar and Sri Lanka are back to political stability, only the young religion, about 1500 years old and all the time saying peaceful religion, countries like Pakistan, Malaysia and Bangladesh still living in the cave days.
