Scotland : Teach LGBT history in schools

 

Is this a good idea ?

According to BBC report, the same sex marriage is legalised in Scotland, why the schools need to teach the history ?

Could they dig out the LGBT history thousands of years ago like China, mainly the records of the King or Emperor. Of course, common people who cared about your sexual orientation.

Would that be a good idea to waste the time in the schools or making more pleasant places for LGBT?
