'Glamping with Pride' vs Repeal of 377 Penal Code -8, old age home

Young gays feel not the same as the lesbian.

Lesbians think long. Gays only, mostly go for the bed fun instead of the future. Of course, this is because of the law which focuses more on the male homosexual in Malaysia.

As AI put it this way:

Lesbian acts are, in fact, criminalized under the law in Malaysia. The reason women are rarely charged in legal courts comes down to enforcement priorities, legal jurisdiction, and societal invisibility, rather than a lack of laws. [1, 2]
1. The Dual-Track Legal System
Malaysia has a dual legal system where civil law (Penal Code) and Sharia (Islamic) law operate in tandem. [1]
  • Federal Civil Law: The federal Penal Code penalizes "carnal knowledge against the order of nature" (sodomy) and "gross indecency". Historically, these laws have been predominantly applied to high-profile male sodomy cases.
  • State Sharia Law: Consensual same-sex relations between women (musahaqah) are explicitly criminalized under the Sharia enactments of various states. However, these laws only apply to Muslims. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
2. Invisibility over Prosecution
At both the federal and state levels, law enforcement rarely raids or formally prosecutes consensual, private same-sex relations among women. The reasons for this are largely practical and cultural: [1, 2]
  • Private vs. Public: Enforcement officials typically lack the resources or the legal authority to monitor private homes.
  • Male Focus: Historically, "unnatural offenses" in Malaysia’s patriarchal context were constructed around homosexual male desire. As a result, female same-sex desire has frequently been met with less aggressive state policing, leading to a degree of relative invisibility.
  • State vs. Federal Jurisdiction: Enforcement primarily falls to state religious departments. While they vigorously monitor gender-diverse or transgender individuals, they rarely prioritize the investigation of private female same-sex behavior. [1, 2, 3, 4]
3. Not Immune
While rare, formal prosecution does happen. State religious authorities have previously arrested and caned Muslim women for musahaqah (sexual offenses between women). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Outside the formal legal system, the LGBTQ+ community in Malaysia regularly faces systemic discrimination. While formal court charges may be infrequent, lesbians frequently face non-judicial penalties, such as being mandated to attend state-sponsored "conversion" or "rehabilitation" programs (known as mukhayyam). Though Singapore government puts the effort for the senior citizens, the Malaysia government is only bickering for the religions and racial problem, thus, the gays and lesbians have to start doing it now. It would be good to start with few to see the results. The Singapore share stay-in senior care-giving services is a good model for the homosexual community even open for the non homosexual people, though they get married and have children, they are side gays.

The AI has the info:

Singapore offers government-backed Shared Stay-in Senior Caregiving Services where trained staff support groups of seniors living together in residential settings like HDB flats or assisted living apartments. This model focuses on daily living assistance, meals, and social engagement. [1, 2]
A breakdown of shared stay-in and related community caregiving services for seniors includes:
1. Shared Stay-in Caregiving Services
  • Concept: A mainstreamed eldercare model where small groups of seniors live together under the supervision of professional caregivers.
  • Best for: Seniors who require basic support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) but can still make their own care decisions.
  • How to Apply: Review the Stay-in SCS Good Practice Guide or submit a request to the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC). [1, 2, 3]
2. Active Ageing Centres (AACs)
  • Concept: Community hubs focused on active ageing, social interactions, and preventive health.
  • Activities: Wellness classes, befriending services, and social bonding to prevent isolation.

We have written of such community, the senior old age home few years ago but did not attract the gay community to think about starting the project for the pink dollars, creating more jobs for the gay community.
